Mineral Supplements - why we need them

Play hard and stay well!

Hello again!

It's apparently a well known fact that people who are couch potatoes may actually outlive fit sporty people....strange but true, according to many practitioners.

Note I say practitioners and not doctors. Well in the main this could be true as many doctors are not (this may be changing?) trained fully in nutrition. Now I guess I could get strung for this, but I have it on a CD right here by an emminent doctor from the States, so I guess it must be pretty accurate.

When you train and play sports - what happens? Yup, you sweat and what do you sweat out? Minerals amongst other things.

Do we need minerals? Certainly do, and I believe it's in the region of 69 that we need every day to have a properly functioning body in all areas.

If we sweat them out - do we replace them? Only very slightly and certainly NOT to the total 69-ish that we should be having. These minerals - I repeat need to be in our intake EVERY DAY!

Why? It was said way back that the farm land is really farmed out and farmed for tonnage per acre and there is no subsidy for putting back all the minerals taken out by the crops. N, P and K are the only three that are regularly put back to make the crops grow. What happens to the other 66?

So, if we don't replace them what is the likely outcome?

The body will take the minerals it needs from wherever it can in the body - usually the bones that hold us all together....result - potentially is raging osteoporosis, along with the possibility of weakened blood vessels that can result in strokes and heart attacks and other wonderful things that don't actually result in a good life!

It is becoming a well known fact that supplementing needs to be considered and is actually a necessity when there is such a reliance on weakened produce and more and more junk food being eaten.

I used to have a VERY poor digestion. Consequently I was always tired. Always getting colds and flu - a very poor immune system. I was in a bit of a state and didn't realise it until it was brought to my attention!

I did a complete bowel cleanse and started on a course of daily mineral intake. These minerals are in a colloidal form and therefore easily absorbed. The composition of the solution is enormous, with vitamins, amino acids - loadsa stuff we need every day. The solution is also of a molecular size that it can be easily absorbed from the mouth down.....

I found out shortly after the bowel cleanse that I was osteoporotic! I had a VERY low bone density. This was due to the content of my gut that was just a mass of sticky smelly goo (no better word for it!!) Real name tho' is Mucoid Plaque! Not a very nice substance to have stuck inside you.

The Mucoid Plaque prevents the nutrients you eat (few enough as they are!) from being absorbed into your system - bit of a double whammy there! If you would like to know how you can help to get this cleaned out - Probiotics for Health might be a place to start with a free audio download as a start!!

Once that was cleared out I was surprised how quickly I gained in energy! I have more energy now than I did in my 30s. (Think I mentioned that somewhere before!!)

I recently had another bone scan and the density has risen by 10% in about 18 months - was I chuffed? I should think so!!

If you have any questions, please do get in touch. Any questions I cannot answer - I have people who can.

There are other things to help digestive problems and that can ease the problem with relative ease. It just takes the decision to be made - maybe something like "I need to feel better and I'm going to do whatever it takes!!"

Would you believe it - you can get paid to feel better too!! Just get in touch to find out how! mike@mikefinding.com

Great hub, I heard people need enzymes in order to have better digestion, and that when we eat cooked food we never get the enzymes we need to digest it properly and that is why we have health problems.
